elpaco -> Dec 8. scenario suggestion (9/16/2009 10:02:57 AM)

Hi,

Would it be possible to have the ships that were sunk on Dec.7 in the list of the sunk ships (and maybe also the VPs).

I mean, if you play this campaign, BB Arizona just seems to have never existed, which is a pity IMHO

Creating a campaign starting on Dec.8 is a bright idea, and if I play this one rather than the one starting on Dec.7, it is because I want to deal with the historical situation and therefore I accept the outcome of the day before (this includes the lost ships and also aircrafts)...

I doubt this is possible - and btw: Who cares about points?

There is perhaps a way to do this for the ships. Unfortunately, not the aircraft. Two things must be done.

Currently Arizona and Oklahoma have sunk dates of 411207, which puts them out of play for a scenario starting 411208. So edit this field to be 411208.

Then edit all damage fields so that they are all 99, including fires. Make sure Major FloatDam and major EngDam are also 99. This may let the ships exist on the beginning of the turn, but insure that they sink during turn execution, allowing for their listing in the 'sunk' record, and (don't know, but presume) their victory points factored in.
