Eagle Strike -> Whats with the "Lock Down" (9/20/2009 11:10:38 AM)

Granted I've been away a few weeks or so but once I came back "Ka-Pow" we're under "high security lock down"? [&:]

Did we get hit with a major attack from spam or virus and/or something else? [X(]

I'm referring to the additional step to log in here at Matrix. My spell checker is just going bonkers every time I log in. [:D]

This message board seemed awfully quiet so I thought I would drop in and add a chuckle or two. Now seriously... any reason for the change or are we just keeping up with the neighbors?

I noticed that "barbed wire" too at the entrance. :-)
To me this would only make sense if a bot had attacked the forum.

Nothing has changed for me; I just click on the bookmark and I'm logged in same as ever. Perhaps I'm an engineer with a Bangalore torpedo.

Yes the spambots were getting rampant. Real people spammers can still log in but for now it stops the bots.

There is a thread in the general forum about this.

V22 Osprey -> RE: Whats with the "Lock Down" (9/20/2009 6:11:07 PM)

1)There's a thread in the "General Discussion" forum on the new Matrix protocol.

2)This has something to do with JTCS, how?

If your bookmark point is inside the forums it works still. (Your passwort is remembered in a cookie) But if you enter from the original frontpage --> http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/loginflat.asp you will notice the "new barbed wire". ;-)
