I just ordered Barbarossa and I come home and see this calling me with it's siren song.....
In any normal reality I would snap it up but "She Who Must Be Obeyed" decided we need a house as all my games and junk I aquired over 9 months convelescing are starting to make the present living quarters unsafe for humans,not gamers(her words, not mine)So now our cash assets are going for stupid "real life " house costs and not games....Thanks a lot !


On a positive note(sort of), I need my gall bladder removed and have some more surgery on my elbow/hand(last surgery didnt hold) so I can "convelesce" some more...hehehe!

Same here. I am a confirmed Matrix Games junkie but can't drop $50 for this one. However, if it ran higher than 1024 res (that really should have been done) and had an editor or moddable files, I would have bought it.

Will just keep playing Op Barb and wait for WITE. Very excited about the latter.

I'm about the same here. I wish the resolution had more options than just 1024x768. However I am waiting for WiF. [:)]

Bah...WiF and WitE are miles away...couldn't let this slip by - I loved the old Battle of Britain and couldn't get it to work on my puter.

There's a lot more issues with making more resolution options than most people think.

I was impressed that I got it to where I got it. It was hard work... Another issue would be speed - more icons on the map = vastly slower play... legacy DX code...

you guys got to remember what we started with, one hassle for me and Harley and most of the others, we have been with this for a while, so even we forget, what we started with

to get where we are now, is heck of job by Harley (with out going into any of the other fun details of all was done)

that was a old Icon mod, somebody made the HQ's that way, with out knowing that the HQ Icon was used by both sides (he was a LW Fanboy)

that is one of my old copies of the game, I liked some of the other Icons, so I kept it

I have no problem not having more resolution choices. That will not effect my future purchase choices. I am getting old. Little icons annoy the heck out of me.Seeing more on a map makes us oldies grouchy

And I'm really glad that Wastelands decided it was worth the effort to do so. So glad, in fact, that I purchased the game. I probably wouldn't have purchased ToW had it been offered only in 1024x768.

Please express my thanks to whomever made the decisions to dedicate the resources to making multi-resolution a reality, and to the programmer who did the work. The ToW map at 1650x1080 is a glorious thing! [:)]
