Glad to hear you're enjoying UV!
Support represents the efforts of your support troops to keep your combat troops full of beans and bullets and in good health. All you need to look at is the overall number for the base. If that is in the red by more than about 10%, try moving in an HQ unit to supplement the base's support. Don't worry about individual unit support ratings - most combat units rely on HQs to supplement their support, so try to keep them together for best performance.
