Can someone tell me why the hell I can't transfer ships from this TF to a level 5 port.

If the tf is docked, you might be bumping up against a port docking limit that will prevent you from adding ships. Undock the tf and you should be able to add more ships to the tf.

Problem is I can't tranfer ships from the TF to the port.

Only a guess...have you order load any troop in the TF? , I see they are not loaded but if you gived the order it can be marked as "no disbandable"

Chris21wen -> RE: Transferring ships to port (9/30/2009 10:26:46 AM)

No. It's completely empty.

Chris21wen -> RE: Transferring ships to port (9/30/2009 10:29:57 AM)

The port concerned is Noumea and it appears I cannot transfer from any TF to Noumea.

Local Yokel -> RE: Transferring ships to port (9/30/2009 12:32:45 PM)

Not sure whether I've got the wrong end of the stick, but your screen shot shows ships available for transfer FROM Noumea TO the TF, not t'other way round.

Whilst you have this form open you can change your mind about assigning a newly-added ship to the TF from the base or another TF and return it, but you can't do this for ships that were already in the TF when you opened the form. To get such ships disbanded back into port, you have to create another TF, add them to that new TF and then disband it - you can't transfer direct from TF to port, as you could in WitP. I find it unnecessarily time consuming to have to get ships out of a task force in this way rather than by direct transfer from TF to port, but that's the way things are now.

[&:] Don't know whether this resolves the problem you have actually hit, but hope it helps.

This is not true, or at least I can, anywhere other than Noumea. Just go to a TF that's in a port, click the transfer button and you can then transfer them to the port. What you can't do is transfer them to another TF.

Done. Now in the Tech forum.

I had the same problem in recent game... but it was at Tulagi.  It didn't matter what kind of TF.  I couldn't transfer ships out of the TF into the port unless I disbanded the whole TF.

Can't reproduce the problem with the saves provided. If you have one with the exact circumstance (TF formed, can't transfer) please post in in Tech Support.

I'll check when I get home tonight to see if one still exists.
