Slugging outfielder, *Babe Ruth, is reportedly very unhappy about his contract. Ruth signed a new 3 yr deal @ $15,197 per yr in January. It seems now he wants it renegotiated because St. Louis Cardinals* 2nd baseman *Rogers Hornsby* signed a new 4 yr deal @ $16,617 per yr this week. Ruth said in a statement that "I hit the ball harder and farther than "that kid" and deserve more money". When Ruth was informed that some pitchers in the league are making more money than he is, he responded by saying "They are pitchers, I am no longer a pitcher. If i were still pitching we would be having this conversation about one of them". Hornsby and the Cardinals had no comment. The Yankees declined to be interviewed. We will keep an eye on this story as the season progresses !
