Playing a few more months, it doesn't look as bad as the previous version--definitely some improvements, but still some odd behavior. Turkey: sent the one corps into Sinai to prevent lapse, BUT did not just leave it there; sent the main army the next month. So not so bad, but two points: 1) it's reasonable to send one corps sideways to prevent lapse in case you lose the main battle at the border, but there's no reason not to have that main battle the same month. 2) The defending corps was not right on the border anyway, so there was no such risk to worry about. However, all in all, not too bad: they did NOT suddenly all get spooked and head back up to Syria. Austria: Lapsed quite a few minors, which is not so good, but it was not a case of running back to the capital. Instead they all stacked up in Venice, near the main French army. So maybe just a case of the decision tree about taking minors and the one about preparing for the big war were not talking to each other. Russia: This is the only really bad one. Set up corps in Caucasus, Finnish border, Brest-Litovsk, then immediately marched them all towards St Pete's, with forage losses. Not sure what it wants to do....
