msickle -> Game always crashes (10/4/2009 5:16:26 PM)

I've run the game with other programs running, from a fresh re-start, always the same.

At some point the game crashes, hard, and I need to power off the machine. THis game takes a long time to play and nothing is worse than loosing hours of play time over and over.

In addition, running in a locked resolution is unfortunatley very common with these wargames. I would like place a request for expanded resolutions. I have done all the tricks - but LCD monitors are made to run in native resolution and native only. (Mine is 1620x1600.)

I simply looks ragged, fuzzy and generally crappy at all times. However, it always crashes anyway in the end anyway.

The first file is the DXDiag, here is the DMP file.

My system is pretty standard at this point, I run dozens of games that don't crash at all, unlike this one.

First off, I don't own the game.

But have you tried closing all unnecessary tasks that run in the background? Did you try to disable programs like AntiVirus software, printer tasks, etc?

I think you mean 1920 x 1200 ?
There is no quadratic resolution (say 1600 x 1600), I think there are few unique copies of such displays for special purposes (not gaming/home entertainment, but industrial use) only, using such native resolutions.

Most video card drivers offer to tinker with resolution settings.
The Nvidia reference driver offers to create a custom profile which you can then activate via the driver menu ("Change resolution") or within the Windows display settings page, for example. ATI even offers to easily switch to 4:3 custom resolutions on wide-screen displays too, resulting in having a black border (left and right) , with the game display being centered on the screen.

Since you're using a wide-screen resolution, try to force 4:3 display and see what happens.

Thanks for your help GoodGuy...

Sorry msickle by the inconvenient, we are looking the files, even we do not believe it is the reason, pls try to update the driver for the sound device: Realtek HD.
