G Van Horne -> Black Devils-Good Links... (11/6/2000 7:39:00 AM)

Just wanted to share a couple of good sites with you guys. The first link has a lot of great items about different special forces of WWII (at the bottom, click previous page) http://home.wxs.nl/~graspol/25.htm The next site may help with dates for the Canadian OOB (airborne troops) http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/bsmills/UNIT_HISTORY/unit_history.html ------------------ Check your head spacing !

Great sites. I've been looking for sites on Canadian units. I want to do a campaign of some sort on this theme. Thank you very much! WB ------------------ In Arduis Fidelis Wild Bill Wilder Coordinator, Scenario Design Matrix Games

You're very welcome, Wild Bill. It would be great to see a Canadian campaign. I tried to start one about The Sheldt, but I just can't seem to find the time. I started a "What if..." campaign starting in late 1946. Hitler was more advanced that we assumed in regards to the "bomb". As the allied troops were massing for D-Day, German forces exploded two warheads over England. One failed, but the other caused major damage to our forces and D-Day was postponed. In the mean time the Axis invaded US and Canada. My campaign would have started where the US had already repelled the enemy and Canada was finishing up. (our native First Nation troops were even planned)I had an actual map of my town (Souris, MB) started as well as other towns. I noticed that most people (as I do) perfer the actual history scenerios/campaigns. If I had more time.... stupid day job !! Hey, we all wonder ..What If..... Is there any plans to make more Unit slots in the editor ? Have a great day Garth ------------------ Check your head spacing !

Nope, afraid not, Garth. This would require more change and reworking of the entire code and OOB files, or so I am told and that is not possible at this point. Sooner or later we have to move on to other projects. Like you, I still have a few things I would like to see changed and improved. I don't expect it to happen, at least not in the near future... but you never know. No one expected SPWAW either Wild Bill ------------------ In Arduis Fidelis Wild Bill Wilder Coordinator, Scenario Design Matrix Games
