ORIGINAL: Hard Sarge roger but they did send a lot of Intruder type missions out, to fly over the roads, raillines looking to targets (this would be more after the break out) the LW did also Just thinkin' ... What causes "real" disruption to troop units? Extended periods of good weather... [&o] A heavily damaged supply line is a must. 1) When troops are in starting positions Light and medium bombardments are effective, but the units are not doing anything anyways. If you don't continue to bomb them they will recover and be ready to move to the fortified area when the invasion occurs. In truth, most players are going to know the major invasion dates anyways, so begin disrupting troops a couple of weeks before. 2) When troops move to the fortified areas Right after an invasion, troops will attempt to move to the fortified areas. RECON, strafe, fighter-bomb, light & medium & heavy & RECON again. Repeat! If the real disruption is above 50% --75%? -- the unit will not move or move a very small distance. 3) When troops reach the FIRST "fortified areas" line. This is the most difficult. Constant heavy bombardments. Even this doesn't keep the disruption high. I found that there is an element of luck that the Army will attack this unit on the day you have the disruption >75%, win the battle, and force the unit to retreat out of the fortified area. 4) When troops retreat to the second fortified areas. After the breakout. RECON, strafe, fighter-bomb, light & medium & heavy & RECON again. Repeat! Pile it on! Most damage occurs at this time. If the real disruption is above 50% --75%? -- the unit will not move or move a very small distance. Very weak units can be destroyed by attacking army units during this time. They will reappear closer to the homeland. 5) When troops reach the SECOND "fortified" line. Forget about them, you are about to win the game! [;)] TS
