Kesselring -> Why cannot save in the planning phase? (10/15/2009 7:47:13 AM)

I'm playing the Axis campagn in BTR and trying to change productions in the first turn. I saved the game in planning phase and wanted to continue the production management next time. However, when i loaded the game, it directly went to action phase. Is this a bug or I saved it wrongly?

to be honest, I am not sure, it does the same for me, when I tried it, so, not sure, will ask Harley if it is WAD or not

This behaviour has been taken over from the original BTR. I was once caught by surprise and had to restart - never happened to me again as I always remembered this behaviour.

Johnus -> RE: Why cannot save in the planning phase? (10/17/2009 3:00:16 AM)

I just saved an Eagle Day game during the mission planning phase (playing as LW) and a BTR game in mission planning phase (playing as the Allies.) Both games saved properly in the planning phase and did not go to the execution "reaction" phase upon loading; I was able to plan new missions in the same planning phase upon loading.

Are you guys talking about something else ??

IIRC this only happens as the DEFENDER on turn 0... There's some logic in there that won't let you save as the turn isn't actually a valid turn ID.

FWIW - it's better to change production after turn 1, as you get double prod on the first turn.
