How to run the game on a wide screen?

If your desktop is currently set to widescreen, then run the game and leave the default "Match current screen resolution" setting. The game will then use that setting without any scaling provided the hight is at least 768 pixels. Alternatively go to page 7 of the Reference manual for details on how to set a custom display resolution.

I have had this monitor for 2 years and never noticed the "Match Screen resolution" option in the game.

Its works just fine!

Well tried, setting 1920x1080 on command line, telling game to use desktop resolution (1920x1080) and tried -resolution debug. In all cases game just minimises to taskbar. Any more ideas?
