Hades -> Question about crews (6/20/2002 12:11:05 PM)

If a tanks is destroyed in a campaign and the crew lives through the battle, does the crew take control of the new tank if it is replaced?

Jim1954 -> (6/20/2002 7:36:41 PM)

It should, but I think that if you upgrade the vehicle or had most of the crew ko'd and replaced then the exp will probably go down some.

When any core unit is damaged/destroyed in a campaign (even if the crew is destroyed) after the battle is completed a repair option is given with a repair point value based on your score and success rate which will allow you to repair and or change any core force unit. So in short NOT automatically, but it gives you the option to repair/change what you want.

Thanks for the clarification. Noticed your absence hereabouts the last few days. Uncle Sammy cut you loose for a few days off?

Hades -> (6/20/2002 9:35:35 PM)

thanks but what i really meant was if a tank dies and the crew lives does the crew keep thier experiance and kills?

Jim1954 -> (6/20/2002 9:44:17 PM)

To the best of my knowledge, they do. As long as part of the crew survives, so should the kills. As far as the experience goes, I think it depends on what kind of replacements you get and how many casualties you suffered and that is time frame dependant. I have seen early war German units get whacked (completely) and their replacements have better stats, no kills though, than the original crews. Late war and it's a different story.

Thanks

Haven't missed a day, it's just been a little slow where my usless, ongoing babbling hasn't been required much. Check the other sub-forums and main forums I've been here in the hiding in background.

Don't knock yourself too hard, your comments and suggestions seem to make more sense than most. BTW, how is the status thingie that appears next to an individuals name determined in these posts? i.e. recruit, trooper, veteraa, etc., etc. ?

Let me throw in a guess here:

Recruit: 1-49

Trooper: 50-249 (?)

Veteran: 250-999

Hero: 1000-???

Jim1954 -> (6/21/2002 3:32:09 AM)

Thanks, some people must have nubbs left for fingers out there from so much typing. This 2 fingered wonder should have paid more attention back in typing classes.

Matrix Recruit = 0 posts

Matrix Trooper = 50 posts

Matrix Veteran = 250 posts

Matrix Hero = 1000 posts

Matrix Legion of Merit = 2500 posts

Matrix Legion of Honor = 5000 posts

Seagull -> Room for growth (6/21/2002 4:19:38 PM)

It's good to see that Goblin has higher levels to aspire to. :)

Jim1954 -> (6/21/2002 5:55:19 PM)

Thanks gmenfan. Am I correct in thinking that no matter how mant times you post to a specific thread ,it's still only counted as 1 post right?

Supervisor -> (6/21/2002 7:36:18 PM)

That is correct, although I don't agree.

Jim1954 -> (6/21/2002 7:37:22 PM)

With 1389 posts, you have covered a lot of different ground, my friend.

ivantheterrible -> But what I really want to know is... (6/24/2002 11:15:56 PM)

How many posts do you have to make in order to become a "Matrix Tech Wizard"?
