TLD comes with cc5, so therefore i can play cc5 mods can't I? if so, how? i downloaded the CFGV13 config manager thing, but no matter where i put it, it keeps saying 'cannot find cc5 folder'

i want to play winter war mod, which comes with the plug in file, just having trouble figuring out how to activate the plugin file

No, CC5 mods will not work on Classic CC5 that comes with TLD.

It is CC5 converted to run on TLD. CC5 mods have to be converted the same way to work on TLD....

If you have CC5 you can play CC5 mods

If you have The Longest Day you can play The Longest Day Mods

The primary reasons CC5 mods will not play in CCTLD Classic CC5 are:

1. Different .EXE (Note that CC5 mods are made for the patched CC5.exe and many don't play nice with the unpatched CC5.exe).
2. Different data file formats.

That being said, it is a whole lot easier, but still takes some effort. to convert CC5 mods to play in CCTLD Classic CC5. The number of maps and the number of campaign days are the same, unlike with CCTLD. Mod work can be done now, but might require updating once the CCTLD patch is finalized because CCTLD and CCTLD's Classic CC5 use the same .exe. Simplier mods that are only data and graphic changes can be done now without need of updates.

CC5 mod .ADB files should be extracted with the Revised QClone .INI files for CC4 and CC5 ( http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=44969#44969 )

Hmmm, I've tried to DL the TLD battle of bulge mod, all of 163mb, 4 times so far and the connection is wicked slow and times out. Wondering if anyone else is having trouble DLing. Maybe it can be seeded at CCS for a reliable decent DL?

Thanks for checking...I finally got it DL'd. Apparently I had to cable my laptop to get the DL, even though I'm at home and my wireless connection is great, thats a first. Nice to have another mod to mix up the gameplay. I've also been playing Firefox's abtf mod which is nicely done on the new engines. Thanks again for checking and the quick response. Regards.

so what am i to do? i can't get it working with pirated cc5, because it seems the mods need 5.01 patch, and i can't find a no cd crack for anything beyond 5.0. And matrix doesnt seem to sell invasion normandy anymore. on ebay it goes for like 70-100 bucks... WTF

postage to australia is a bitch from amazon, it's economical if im buying a lot of books together but not for 1 game. itd end up being the same price as from ebay

I have already bought CC5 TLD and some versions CC4 War (for myself and friends). But I would like to play now in known mod GJS which not to establish on CC5 TLD. Prompt, where I can buy original ΡΡ5? I live in Russia and to buy through ebay difficult and long. Whether probably to buy the digital version original ΡΡ5 (to download through the Internet)?
