What, exactly, were the so-called "inconsistencies"?

This got posted on the 3.10 beta announcement thread and I didn't know how to move it to a more appropriate spot. So I'm starting a new thread with Herman's question.

An answer will be posted tomorrow.

This ridiculous description looks like...
... it was written by a teenage girl...
trying to impress....
... her bubble-headed friends.

What exactly is meant by 'weirdness'...?  [&:]

rsharp@advancedgamin -> RE: Problem (11/2/2009 6:07:08 PM)

The Rebuild All Units command would not include some fixes recently added.

Rebuild air groups
Rebuild magazines
Validate groups (It was possible to get a unit in multiple groups)

The Batch Rebuild had all but the group validation.

Thanks,

Your response is missing some needed maturity and I'm not quite sure how it actually applies. But the bug title does not inform on what was actually the problem so here's the updated text.

- 0002893: [GameEngine] Weapons switch targets outside of their sensor arc and original target

The issue was not isolated to the scenario editor either. It involved weapons having their sensor arcs miscalculated when searching for targets. This could often lead to weapons targeting friendlies. While I haven't checked it out, it may be related to an issue you reported of torpedoes engaging the wrong targets.

Thanks,

Asked and answered within the same paragraph. Amazing. Simply amazing. [8|]

Thanks for clarifying the original childish description.

[snip]

Rebuild magazines

Why would this function be included with the Re-Build All command? Isn't there a separate function for this, already?

I think that it is better/more flexible to have them separate functions.

You seem intent on interjecting hostility into what should be simple discussion. It's trying my patience and wasting a lot of effort on both our parts. Please change your attitude and pattern of behavior on this forum.

I'll reconsider this part of the change.

Thanks,

The Rebuild All Units command will not rebuild the unit magazines (as was the default before). Batch Rebuild will continue to do so.

Thanks,
