jimwinsor -> A couple of glitches (11/6/2009 8:20:15 PM)

I noticed a bugs during my first two days of playing, and they don't seem to have been mentioned before:

1) I got a bounty hunting mission to a target supposedly lurking near pirate base. OK, the problem here is, you can't use you scanners at a pirate base, you get a message telling you it's not a good idea to do that. Well OK, but that does make the bounty hunting mission impossible to fulfill. Not a real game breaker, though, in that it's easy to cancel the mission.

2) I had a situation where a ship successfully fled, but then on that same turn, it gave me a boarding option. BAD idea to take it, it turns out, as after I won the boarding action an error box popped up (regretfully, I did not note what it said), and after you clicked "OK" the game froze.

The latter has been my only crash in two days of play.

Slocket -> RE: A couple of glitches (11/7/2009 5:28:07 PM)

2) I think was fixed by just released patch 1.1h. Boarding action while fleeing crash...

1) The bounty target maybe at that planet or somewhere around it. You must look around at nearby planet too. More than once starting out. Get better tracking sensors from Mercenary skill will allow a quicker find. He may just be at a planet just next door.

Literally it says, in that system or somewhere next to it, he was last seen.  Somewhat like Privateer's mission.

That was fixed awhile ago? Have you patch to 1.1h ? Have an older version?
---------------------------------------
Smugglers 4

Version 1.1h:
• Compatibility mode for the blind has been completed.

Version 1.1g:
• Fixed a bug where you got boarding missions for Orion shuttle fleets.

Version 1.1f:
• Some small bug fixes.

Version 1.1e:
• Minor various small bug fixes.

Version 1.1d:
• Removes some small visual glitches.

Version 1.1c:
• Pirate crew members health and damage potential have been doubled.

Version 1.1b - Final release:
• In the blind compatibility mode the planet names are not hidden under the target cursor anymore.

Version 1.1 - Test release:
• Now includes a new battleship class: The battlegroup consisting of a battleship and several escort ships.
• Blind compatibility mode completed; Now includes the fleet battle screen.
Bug where the game freezed when you were boarding a ship, which at the same time has successfully left the battlefield has been fixed.• Small problem fixed when turning the blind compatibility mode off.

Version 1.0i
• In the blind compatibility mode you can now see which quantities of goods are selected (displayed by a * behind the specific quantity, like "x 10*").

Version 1.0k

Two bugs that appeared first with 1.0j have been fixed:
• The info panel in the travel screen is off-screen.
• There is a bug when opening the trade menu from the pirate hideout.

Version 1.0j - Test release:

• If you have a battleship you can now directly attack starbases. (Test release)
• Trade window in the travel screen is now moveable (Test release)

Version 1.0i:

• The equipment prices have been increased by a great amount in proportion to your ship class. Fighter equipment prices stay the same. Battleship prices have been increased the most.
• Alt + F4 exits the combat and fleet battle screen (but of course ends the game automatically to prevent exploiting).
• Drinking at the bar has the additional new benefit of being able to skip a whole turn (day) giving your ship´s shields time to recharge.
• Crew hire screen added to the blind compatibility mode.
• Using the “travel to” button at the bottom of the screen sometimes caused weird results while travelling by double-clicking always worked.
• Equipment prices can never be negative (this could previously happen when your current equipment is more worth than your old equipment).
• Leaving a pirate base costs a game turn now (like leaving a planet´s port).

Version 1.0h:
• Bug where you got the error message: “Cannot make a visible window modal” during crew combat is still unconfirmed, but we´ve changed something that might prevent it from happening (FIXED?)
• Minimizing tutorial window during combat was not possible. (FIXED)
• Starting abilities for pirate didn´t include the flee ability (FIXED)
• One customer reported: “Prompt about asking if you want to end turn with APs, should say MAY (like may be able to use an ability) not COULD. For instance, EMP can leave you without being able to do things.“ (FIXED)
• In the blind compatibility mode some labels were wrong in the ship equipment screen (FIXED)
• The crew combat screen has been added to the blind compatibility mode. (DONE)
• The ship sensors screen has been added to the blind compatibility mode. (DONE)

Version 1.0g:
• Radar screen now displays differently coloured radar blips depending on whether it´s an enemy or a friendly target. (DONE)
• Droids do not count when calculating the minimum crew required to fly a ship. The idea is that they are battle droids and not able to navigate a ship. (DONE)
• Player droids take less damage when the player uses the standard or EMP strike attack. This should make it significantly easier to get a battleship. (DONE)
• Officers always take less damage. (DONE).
• Veteran mode adjusted to let player droids and officers take more damage than in the standard difficulty mode (DONE).
• Crewmen are protected better in case the numbers of Crewmen, officers and pirates drop below the minimum crew number. (DONE)
• The “Select faction” screen has been included in the blind compatibility mode. (DONE)
• The “Purchase ship” screen has been included in the blind compatibility mode. (DONE)
• The “Upgrade equipment” screen has been included in the blind compatibility mode. (DONE)

Erik Rutins -> RE: A couple of glitches (11/8/2009 2:14:56 PM)

Our release is 1.1k, which is actually later than 1.1h so I would be surprised if 1.1h was not included.

NielsB -> RE: A couple of glitches (11/9/2009 9:20:33 AM)

The MatrixGames release 1.1k is the newest version available. However 2) has been a bug I was´nt able to repeat myself so I changed something that thought could have fixed this. Apparently it has not? If you encounter this bug regularly (> once a day) please PM me so we might be able to hunt down this bug.
