since fuel is actually used in AE to keep factories working (as opposed to oil in WITP), are we to ship fuel or oil with the resources back to Japan to keep those factories churning? I'm at mid Jan 42 in a PBEM game, and I would like to know which is the most efficient method. If i've got my thinking straight, oil should go to any base with refineries, the resulting fuel to be sent to Japan. Am i backwards in this?

Forgive me if this has been answered before, i searched several pages and was unable to find any thread that answered this question.

thanks

It depends... you do have excess refineries in Japan...but for every 10 oil you ship back to Japan you only get 9 fuel in return. Whereas for every 10 fuel you ship back, you get those 10 fuel in Japan.

You still need to ship about 8000 Oil/day back to Japan(honshu) to keep up with industrial needs and about 4500 Fuel/day to honshu and a bit to Hokkaido, shikoku and Kyushu

I'd say oil first and then fuel with the spare TK capacity.

Edit: Most likely, you'll have excess oil in the SRA. The only place to turn it into fuel is Japan.

Thanks for the info.
