In my game vs Scott I no longer get combat annimations but the switch is on?

We are into May 42 AE and a few days ago they just stopped. What can I do to get them on.

Scott says it works on his end. I am playing Japan

Go to the in-game preferences - first or second button on top left corner - before you save your turn.
Check the time delay for each of the animations - should not be zero
Check that the show animations is ON

Solved the problem. Deleted old 001 file so would not rewrite over old file. Replay came back.

In the patch02, I will be deleting the old save prior to writing the new one.
Hopefully, this will fix the 'odd' corruption that seems to happen sometimes when writing over existing games.
