Italian pre-dreadnoughts are so cool! I am looking forward to those. Yes, I will be happy to include them in the next download. It will be quite a mixed bag, what with the High Seas Fleet, USS Helena, and now Italians. Graham, you are now a WPO legend!

hellfirejet -> RE: Italian ship art (11/25/2009 7:04:15 PM)

Yo I'm going to tweak the Italian ships colour by putting a darker edge to the hull outline because I feel in the combat screen, they are not standing out enough ?

hellfirejet -> RE: Italian ship art (11/25/2009 11:10:11 PM)

Here is the Italian Pre-Dreadnought Regina Elena class.

hueglin -> RE: Italian ship art (11/26/2009 12:19:10 AM)

Hi Graham,

Thanks for all of the work on these ships, they look great! Any plans for Austria-Hungary? Italy needs someone to fight!

hellfirejet -> RE: Italian ship art (11/26/2009 2:18:49 AM)

Hi Hueglin I will try to create, what ever ship art, that the War Plan Orange players would like to see display in game, If I can get a good photo or drawing of a ship then I can do it,thanks for feedback very much appreciated.

hellfirejet -> RE: Italian ship art (11/26/2009 2:11:09 PM)

New possible feature I'm also thinking about is shown below, where by the ship now looks as though it is traveling at 20 knots etc, and is creating a large bow wave effect, plus at the stern there is the tell tale sign off a large wake being left after the ship,I have tried this out in the combat screen view, and it looks like the ships are moving fast through the water.[;)]

tex -> RE: Italian ship art (11/26/2009 4:49:04 PM)

Hi Graham, the Garibaldi is fantastic! As for the special effects, in my opinion, keep the flags and lose the wakes.

hellfirejet -> RE: Italian ship art (11/26/2009 6:12:42 PM)

Okydoky will keep the flags & lose the wakes, that was the way I was leaning anyway, will confirm all nations naval flags before attaching to ship art ![;)]

hellfirejet -> RE: Italian ship art (11/26/2009 9:38:50 PM)

Italian Armoured cruiser Giuseppe Garibaldi class with Navy ensign,so this is one of your favourite ships is it,I think out of the ten ships in the class Italy used 3 & Japan got 2,I think Spain got 1 and Argintina got 4 could be wrong maybe yes maybe no.[:D]

Hi folks, Italian Armoured cruiser Giuseppe Garibaldi class with Navy ensign flying from her mast, she looks tremendous in the combat screen in game,I have experimented and a slight reduction to the size of the flag, looks great attached to all the ships mast.Instead of floating in the corner off the art work.[;)]

Italian San Giorgio class Armoured cruiser[;)]

Hey guys do you prefer the ship art to be to scale or do you want them larger so that you can see more detail?[&:]

This art work is slightly larger than she should be,but personally I prefer to make out more detail.[;)]

[image]local://upfiles/30791/B27C155EA9FA40009A5C33250A548831.jpg[/image]

comte -> RE: Italian ship art (12/26/2009 10:08:34 AM)

Graham I like more details myself.

tex -> RE: Italian ship art (12/26/2009 11:14:28 AM)

I agree with Aces, I prefer the details over scale. Besides, if they were all to scale then the destroyers would be about the size of a gnat!

hellfirejet -> RE: Italian ship art (12/26/2009 11:45:01 AM)

Ok I will make them large enough to see individual detail on the ships,I'm sure the Italian Armoured cruisers are 130 pixels in lenght,so I will use a sliding scale based on the Armoured cruiser size,Battlecruisers,Pre-Dreadnoughts& Dreadnoughts will be larger, while Protected cruisers,Light cruisers & Destroyers will be smaller,by approx 10 pixel per ship type + or -.[8D]

hellfirejet -> RE: Italian ship art (1/2/2010 4:31:26 PM)
