micheljq -> Strategic movement points question (11/24/2009 3:42:16 PM)

Hello,

If my major power purchases one SMP, will the new SMP be available this turn only or for all the remaining game? Same question for amphibious points and naval transport points.

Thank you,

Harbinger -> RE: Strategic movement points question (11/24/2009 3:44:20 PM)

They are available until used...or in the case of AIP and SMP if they exceed the max allowed.

Yes but from turn to turn they are available? Let's say I begin with 7 SMP, which are available from turn to turn. I purchase for 50PP another SMP. Does it means that from now on and all subsequent turns I have 8 SMP?

If the purchase of additional SMP's or AIP's do not exceed the max allowed and they are unused during the turn, they will be available until you choose to use them, whether next turn or 37 turns down the road.

The additional points will be the first ones used.

Oops, SMP are persistent and represent improvements to railways, etc. AIP are purchased, but are consumed in use, and thus must be repurchased with each invasion.

SMPs are an investment, AIPs a cost.

You may have known this, but I wanted to clarify.

Chuck
