DaveP -> Editor Question (12/11/2009 3:50:56 AM)

I guess I posted in the wrong place, sorry.

I have a question for the Editor Experts out there. This is purely an asthetic issue, but I really like the marine symbol (Anchor on blue background) used for IJN SNLF and Naval Garrison and USMC Defense Battalions. I would really like to have this symbol used for all USMC units, but I do not want to turn them into Artillery Defense Battalions. Is there some way to override the default unit symbol? And if so, can anyone tell me how to give the USMC the marine symbol for all their units.

Thanks.

I dont think you can my recoolection is its tied to the editor suffix so in this case the special SNLF and Defence Bn Suffix.

Because marines use the same suffix as army units its not currently possible to give a marine Div the anchor because then it would apply to ALL units with that suffix

Hi Andy

If I may made a suggestion, I don't if it's possible. In the editor you can give with 11 a Cavalry symbol and with 13 a Airborne symbol. Why not use a other value for a Marine symbol?

I dont mind the suggestion but I know we looked at this when the new symbols came in and there was some reason we couldnt do it that way.

In all honesty I cannot recall why not but I am pretty sure its not doable
