What 4x univerese is this guy living in? We get 50+ FPS and RTS games a year, 10 or 20 RPGs ...and maybe 1 4x game every year or 2 ...and that makes it "oversaturated"? Hardly. There's room for many more.
Perhaps he's thinking more of the 90's and late 80's, when space 4x games were more common? Granted, even then there weren't a whole lot of space strategy games coming out, but there were certainly more then than there are now.
