rjh1971 -> Scenario Bank problem (12/13/2009 11:51:20 PM)

Hi all:

I tried to download Crimean Shield from the advanced tactics comunity webside and the zip only had a txt file protected with a password.
I mailed Grymme asking for the scenario and he kindly mailed it to me.
Here is a screenshot of the file downloaded and trying to unzipping it when it asks for a pwd.

Thanks

Ah yes. be aware that you should not try to unzip .pt2 files.
Just load them with AT and all will go fine.

This is because AT savefiles internally use ZIP protocols to minimize the size of the savefile.

Hi Vic, thanks for the reply.
Do you mean I should place the zip in the proper AT folder and it will work?

Barthheart -> RE: Scenario Bank problem (12/17/2009 2:54:47 PM)

The file you downloaded should have the file extension ".pt2" not ".zip". For some reason some computers/browsers change this extension.

Try renaming the file to "crimeanshield.pt2" and put it in the scenarios folder. You should then just be able to open the scenario from in the game.... no unzipping.

Oohhh, allright I'll try that to see if it works.
Thanks for answering, I'll know what to do if it happens again.

I understand from the above that you should not extract the .pt2 file but load as is however when I try to open the scenario I get an error message that the jpg graphics can't be located. The scenario in question is the Age of Napoleon. My question is how do I get the napoleonic graphics file which came as part of the scenario zip file to load properly so the scenario will open. Thanks.

If a scenario uses non default graphics they should have been included in the zip. are you sure you unzipped everything?

djitters19 -> RE: Scenario Bank problem (12/21/2009 11:48:16 PM)

Thanks for the quick answer. Yes there is a graphics file included with the scenario but it didn't install into the Advanced Tactics graphics folder. When I try to load the scenario there's an error message that jpg graphics can't be found. How to I add the graphics from the scenario into the Advanced Tactics graphics file so the scenario can locate the graphics it's looking for? Thanks again.

erichswafford -> RE: Scenario Bank problem (1/8/2010 9:47:21 AM)

I have the same problem with many of the user created scenarios where I get multiple error messages saying Graphics files can't be found. I've unzipped everything properly into the bin folder (and the scenario/ graphics subfolders).

Vic -> RE: Scenario Bank problem (1/8/2010 10:22:04 AM)

Please give the exact message AT gives about not being able to find the graphic.

Maybe it says something like "cannot find c:/matrix/advancedtactics/bin/graphics/vietnam/87.png"

in that case make sure the graphics have been unzipped in the "vietnam" scenario.

the odd thing is that all approved scenarios in the bank should install correctly. though enforcing this is done by volunteers. but which scenarios have these problems?
