Want to have a gratuitous space battle. Do the following.

Start up the game, and at the main menu press F4 to open the command consile
Type the following (without quotes) "Setting ShowSpaceBattleButton true" and press enter
Quit the game
Restart and you will have a new menu item named Space Battle.

Hey, pretty cool! That's a nice way to practice space battles. You should make it part of the standard setup.

The AI got the better of me on my first two efforts, but I forced it to retreat on the 3rd try, though I still didn't take the planet. Maybe I launched my ground troops too soon.

Also, I couldn't seem to control when/if the carriers launched their aircraft. Does the AI handle that automatically? The AI control button was toggled on constantly for them.

The scenario is winnable, but it's quite tough.
Fighter launching is under AI control at the moment, but will probably add some manual control in a later patch

Ah, OK. Well, it's a really good training tool; I didn't really "get" real-time combat til I played with this. Will try it again tomorrow.

Ntronium -

Really appreciate your inclusion of this feature - as Grotius has pointed out it is an outstanding training tool. Keep up the good work.

Mac
