Why is there a difference between these two screens?

Good question. Would like to know this,too.

Same with combat animations that show my PM fighters downing 4 Kates and in combat summary
i see only 2 destroyed Kates. What is the right result here ? Do my pilots lie or the combat report ?

Well, the combat animations and combat reports are subject to fog of war. I have never seen a discrepancy in the information screen though. I have always thought that the information screen gave the "correct" tally of lost aircraft.

It is my understanding that the intelligence screen is now also subject to FOW (up until the end of the game).

Fow to the point of the screens not adding up? Isnt that weird?
