ExNavyDoc -> Small Fog-of-War bug (6/28/2002 7:42:14 AM)

In all versions, as the Allied player, I get sighting reports from Japanese aircraft, as well as Allied:

i.e. "H6K Mavis-whatever sighting: CA CA DD DD"

They have the "red" graphic as opposed to the "blue" Allied graphic.

Is this a small bug that has yet to get fixed, or does it represent Allied code-breaking, or enemy A/C broadcasting "in the clear" that is intercepted by the Allies?

Just wondering....

Doc

Probably code breaking since I have had a US sub reported by Japanese aircraft as 1) SS, 2) CV, 3) CA, 4) AP etc. It gives me a good laugh when it's reported as a CV. But make me wonder about my recon planes reporting that DD or APD, or PG. :D
