Hey you guys....I finally finished Axis turn 20.  I captured Odessa and moped up somewhat the line near D-town and gained a hex or two near Smolensk etc.  You can find the Axis turn 20 AAR here:  http://www.filedropper.com/dahdfitegameturn20

BTW, that link is broken again??
All of you guys didn't realized it? [:-]

larryfulkerson -> RE: FITE T21 (2/9/2010 1:07:31 PM)

Thanks for your info Dave.  I uploaded the AAR again to the same file server and it gave me the same link again.  So I clicked on it and the link worked.  So I guess that the link is okay now.  Also, if the link was bad and nobody noticed it can only mean that you were the only guy that tried it and that means nobody but you is reading the pigs.  Maybe I should discontinue my AAR labors and just post a picture or two with some verbage like everybody else?

I was thinking same thing... At least i have one IRL friend who downloads & reads your reports as well, but he doesn't use matrixgames as community.
Maybe people are too lazy to download things.. I dont know. It sucks that you use lots of time on AAR and guys don't even download it.

BTW: Those historical pics are nice, maybe i should post some too?

sapper32 -> RE: FITE T21 (2/9/2010 2:16:13 PM)

I read all the AARs sometimes it takes me time to get round to the latest installments and im not a massive fan of FITE or Eastern front scenarios its something im trying to build up my knowledge of and Larrys AARs help[:D]

Well I'll try to be honest here, and do not want to offense anyone, but I think I might have said this before: downloading a file to read an AAR won't give you as many hits as just posting the screenies here. Yes the downloadable file is much bigger and more detailed, but in my experience not too many people will do that. Sure I d/l and read your AAR, not al of the time though. So it might be a good idea to post the screenshots here, with your expertise added ofcourse, that way you surely will get more interaction with other AAR readers.
My 2 cts.

Santayana_slith -> RE: FITE T21 (2/9/2010 5:22:45 PM)

I do prefer the more detailed, downloadable AAR format you’ve been using as of late. But Josh may be right in that the conventional, forum-based format helps the interaction with more readers.

Most of us can’t even dream of having the time play monster scenarios like FITE so, whatever the format, keep the AARs coming. In any case, thanks for your time and involvement [&o].

PS: As a side note, maybe you should consider other file hosting providers different than Filedropper. Recently, I’ve tried to download your latest D21 AAR and the installments hosted at Filedropper weren’t retrievable while the one at Mediafire was still there.

Da_Huge_D -> Turn 20 Losses (2/9/2010 6:10:04 PM)

Small update. Here's losses at end of turn 20: [No ships & aircrafts included] My tanks are running out, i have only 700+ T-34's and over half of T-26's are lost. Not good not good.

larryfulkerson -> FITE T21 (2/9/2010 11:07:45 PM)

Here's a teaser from the FITE game Dave and I are playing. I've managed to build another sortof 'front line' between the Soviet stragglers and safety and whether or not it will hold them back from their front lines remains to be seen.

larryfulkerson -> RE: FITE T21 (2/10/2010 5:18:23 AM)

I finally finished the Axis turn 21 AAR and posted it at a different file server this time.  You can find it here:

http://www.mediafire.com/?yu4jwuy2ynn

I made some successful river crossings near Leningrad and Kherson and have some units adjacent to D-town now.  Most of the action was in the south.

Karri -> RE: FITE T21 (2/10/2010 9:21:44 AM)

The situation doesn't look too good for Axis. Seems like the Soviets are pretty well set on defense.

You are correct ( again ) and it's going to be hard slogging to get through all those Soviet defenders. I expect heavy losses just to gain a hex or two. I guess I took too long to get to this position in terms of turns taken. It's already turn what, 21 or something and I haven't entered the Ukrane yet. I've only just now captured Odessa for crying out loud.

Da_Huge_D -> RE: FITE T21 (2/10/2010 11:58:39 AM)

Turn 21

31. August - 2. September 1941
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Leningrad situation. City's main-defense line holds fine so far, only problem is now germans strong panzer-spearhead in centre of the line (6. & 1. Pz packed with SS Polizei division and some infantry divs), maybe i should bring one army more to stop it?

Some men from 3rd Militia division moving in Novgrod's suburbs, there's heavy fighting going on at city.

Da_Huge_D -> RE: FITE T21 (2/10/2010 12:08:08 PM)

Next, south of Leningrad area: Northwest & Kalinin fronts. Panzer-spear is hammering my line hardly, i should get my armies from there to better positions... Maybe behind Zapnay Diva's river or something...

Da_Huge_D -> RE: FITE T21 (2/10/2010 12:17:01 PM)

Alllright. Centre next. Old line cracked again (ofcourse) and i should now start to reinforce the new one immidiately, germans are closing Bryansk...

23. Mech Corps are on retreat and their casualties are high, lots of tanks lost:

Da_Huge_D -> RE: FITE T21 (2/10/2010 12:39:57 PM)

And south situation, not good. New line is need to build up ASAP, or im screwed.

159th Rifle division's 57. Rifle-Regiment holding against germans infantry on the other side of Dnepr-river, near Nikopol. Germans are about to start cross river.

larryfulkerson -> RE: FITE T22 round 3 (2/11/2010 2:07:46 AM)

It's round 3 and the bridgehead that was established across the river just southwest of Leningrad last turn has expanded somewhat this turn. Now if only it had a good supply line into it.

larryfulkerson -> RE: FITE T22 (2/11/2010 10:15:17 AM)

So um........hey you guys....I finished the Axis turn 22 moves and the AAR for it can be found here:

http://www.mediafire.com/?eyyizokdonm

larryfulkerson -> RE: FITE T23 (2/12/2010 4:13:39 AM)

Okie dokie........I've done my Axis turn 23 moves and put the AAR together and posted it at a file server.  You can find it here:  http://www.mediafire.com/?xhnym22ym5n

There were only two combat rounds due to an early turn ending.  So not much got done.

Da_Huge_D -> RE: FITE T23 (2/12/2010 10:05:21 AM)

Turn 23

7. September - 9. September 1941
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
South situation. New line is formed now succesfully behind Dnepr. I still have 1 hex in Odessa area LOL.

Da_Huge_D -> RE: FITE T23 (2/12/2010 10:17:50 AM)

Centre. I'm planning next-future lines etc. My current lines won't hold long at Orel and Bryansk fronts, and next line's contruction started this turn:

larryfulkerson -> RE: FITE T24 (2/13/2010 9:00:07 AM)

Okie dokie.....I finished the Axis turn 24 moves and put the AAR for it together.  You can find it here:  http://www.mediafire.com/?m3m40dwiwy2

I cleared Odessa this turn....some changes to the front lines here and there.

larryfulkerson -> RE: FITE T25 (2/14/2010 5:23:17 PM)

So um.........hey you guys.  I finally finished Axis turn 25.  I captured D-town but Dave can possibly take it back before I can destroy the industry there.  I put the AAR on a file server and you can download it from here:  http://www.mediafire.com/?mnnx2nzmqwz

Da_Huge_D -> RE: FITE T25 (2/15/2010 7:31:52 AM)

Turn 25

14. September - 16. September 1941
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alllright. First, situation in south. I had to pull back 51. Army (again) from south of Dnepr-river into new positions between Perekop and Nikopol. Now Larry have clear, open road to Crimea, but i have filled whole Crimean-gap with Separate Coastal Army + packed with some NKVD's units and militia divisions.

Some marines from Black Sea fleet's 1st Cadet brigade guarding the beaches in city of Sevastopol.

Da_Huge_D -> RE: FITE T25 (2/15/2010 7:50:38 AM)

Situation in Orel & Bryansk fronts. New line is (almost) built and ready for action. Couple divisions got encircled and destroyed. This area definitely needs reinforcements ASAP.

Encircled 242nd Rifle division from 30. Army defending their last positions and trenches until last man.

Da_Huge_D -> RE: FITE T25 (2/15/2010 8:04:48 AM)

In centre, germans are closing Smolensk day by day...

Da_Huge_D -> RE: FITE T25 (2/15/2010 8:15:53 AM)

Last but not least, Leningrad's situation. Much have changed here: Germans 1. and 6. Panzer divisions almost cracked my line at bulge, but i patched the hole this turn with 27. Army. Leningrad's future doesn't look good. I need to bring 1-2 armies more here ASAP.

larryfulkerson -> RE: FITE T25 (2/16/2010 6:49:22 AM)

okie dokie the Axis turn 26 moves are done.  I didn't get much accomplished this time.  My dudes are tired and the arty is about out of ammo.  You can find the AAR here:

http://www.mediafire.com/?nllzlhniynd

larryfulkerson -> RE: FITE T27 (2/17/2010 8:40:18 AM)

Not much noteworthy happened this turn.  I'm beginning to sound like a broken record I guess.  Anyway, you can find the Axis turn 27 AAR here:
