+1 Even though I haven't had time to play FoG properly yet. A great game though and this expansion looks like it will be a must buy.

You're kidding me. They are going to charge for the army builder which should have been there all along.

Ironclad -> RE: Field of Glory expansion announced (1/9/2010 10:37:49 AM)

Even without that, the base game, including patch enhancements is proving a really great buy, fun and speedy to play and the multiplayer (ie for playing human opponents) works like a dream.

I have never played the table top version but it reminds me of all those things that I used to look for years ago when playing wargame research rules but never really got to do because of the hassle (time, painting up figures, preparation, finding opponents etc) involved. I signed up for the expansion pack too; just hope it works with my matrix original - the patches have so fingers crossed.

Good news.

Can we assume, like the slitherine patches, it is automatically compatible with the matrix version ?

e_barkmann -> RE: Field of Glory expansion announced (1/9/2010 10:31:31 PM)

over at the Slitherine forums they've responded that it will be compatible with the matrix version.

bssybeep -> RE: Field of Glory expansion announced (1/16/2010 12:39:31 AM)

cool, but will we be able to buy the expansion from Matrix?

Erik Rutins -> RE: Field of Glory expansion announced (1/19/2010 9:13:32 PM)

Yes guys, we are planning to carry the entire FOG line, including this expansion.

darthsmaul -> RE: Field of Glory expansion announced (1/20/2010 9:54:13 PM)

any idea how much and can we save by preordering?

Erik Rutins -> RE: Field of Glory expansion announced (2/1/2010 5:25:35 PM)

We will be carrying it at the same price as Slitherine at release, but we do not do pre-orders. So if you want to pre-order your best bet is to get it through them.
