OK, I have done the searches and see a lot of discussion about delayed replacements, base & HQ requirements, etc. and I have reread the manual sections on air group replacements several times. However, I remain frustrated with things like the following:

I have the Hosho in a TF docked at Hiroshima (Port level 9), 181,000+ supply, plenty of excess space on the carrier. The air group max size says 6 and there are 4 ready D3A1 Vals in the group, 6 in the replacement pool. What I do not get is that I have "Replacements Allowed" but below that the text "Draw one Aircraft from Pool (6)" is greyed out. It does NOT say replacments delayed or such, and this group has not drawing any replacements to date (at least not that I know of). I've tried moving the group to another ship in teh same port and to the airbase but nothing changes. Please help me understand what I might be missing?

I had the same problem with Hosho. It just didn't take replacements. If I remember it right I had to move the airgroup to the land base, before I could draw airplanes. Try that.

Very interesting - I thought I had tried that before but just did again and it worked. Moved the group to the port the TF was in (Hiroshima) and was imediately allowed to add the two planes the group was short.

Wonder if this is limited to the Hosho, or maybe CVEs?

At least I don't have any problems with other CVEs, so I guess it's just Hosho...
