Each side will have their own AAR thread.

Ron Saueracker -> (7/9/2002 8:00:04 PM)

I want to see how this is done. Please explain how the communication, or lack of, is conducted between partners. Sounds like fun!:)

Hi, Gus gives orders to his units and saves turn (not end) he then sends it to me along with replay and combat.txt file.
I alter all his orders and steal his units for my own missions end turn and send all the files to U2 who gives his order before sending the files to Erik who alters all Dans orders and steals all his units for his own missions before ending allied turn and sending just the orders file to Gus where the whole thing begins anew. (just kidding about me changing the orders Gus issues....really I would not do that to my partner in the IJA. IJN officers are samurai and honor is of upmost importance even if it results in events not to our liking. Who are we to question the experts in the Army who know everything and make plans even super human giants flying on the back of dragons could not full fill?.......err...emm... I mean we co-operate in first rate fashion and expect victory very soon....

U2 -> (7/9/2002 8:36:04 PM)

Hi

I just gave Erik my first piece of "advice" and more or less told him to get that sub out of Rabaul. I just could not stop myself from telling him that. Bigger conflicts will surely arise. Man this is fun!:)
Dan

Erik just informed me that the sub commander was acting alone and had no standing orders to attack DDs at Rabaul.

Toro -> Turns / week? (7/12/2002 8:58:07 PM)

Hi guys,

Interesting way to approach the game. Wondering how it's going (last post, 2 days past). Also, since you're obviously passing around the file much more often, how long is it taking to play a game turn?

mogami -> 4 way (7/12/2002 9:25:59 PM)

Hi, One player away till weekend. Turns require half day to full day but will speed up as system ironed out

RobertT -> Read posts or play game? (7/13/2002 8:12:33 PM)

I gotta tell ya, I have so much fun reading all the AAR's that I sometimes read instead of playing. Thank you for the time and effort!

Giants on the backs of dragons indeed...LOL

byron13 -> (7/30/2002 7:21:33 AM)

What happened? It's been two weeks since the last report!

FAdmiral -> (7/31/2002 2:54:18 AM)

4 players, now this is the type of PBEM game I like.
The more the merrier. Sounds like the olden days
of playing VGA Planets over on AOL with 11 players.
One vs. one is old stuff, would much rather have more
players cause communication becomes a HUGE factor.
Maybe when WITP comes out, we can have 8 player games.

JIM BERG, SR.

Erik Rutins -> Unfortunately... (7/31/2002 7:24:55 PM)

Mogami had to relocate. The rest of us are patiently waiting while he finishes his move and gets back in touch. At that point, our PBEM will continue! :D

Regards,

- Erik

mogami -> The adventures of Mogami (8/5/2002 9:27:44 AM)

Greetings, for many days have I wandered baking in the summer sun. Tonight I find myself in a town with the rather amusing (given the lack of water or trees) of Beaver Utah. I hope to soon establish a new base to operate from. The sky it very clear and I keep time by the rising and setting of the moon. I hope all of you are fine and I look forward to the resumption of the game. My co commander should assume full control. The 3 player concept should still prove/test the playabilty of multi player pbem games.
A walk in the desert never hurt the philosphical development of a human being. Mean while the war will take it's course in my mind. I have discovered the animals around here will leave you in peace if you offer them part of a can of SPAM.
