Running the Guadalcanal scenario under the latest patch.

I moved a New Zealand CL to port in Australia. The CL is still in a task force (though it is docked) and I saw the message "S10/No.700 Sqd FAA moved ashore from XshipX at YportY". The CL didn't have the floatplanes on it the turn before (just checked) and the airgroup is listed as a British squad of a single Walrus II. I can't move the airgroup back to the CL because the capacity is 0.

Any idea what's going on?

Thanks,

Floyd

Might be a database issue (as the Leander class in that scenario show a air capacity of zero). The Leander class should have a capacity to carry the Walrus II and that unit is assigned to the Leander. Maybe a post to the Naval OOB thread would help.

Thanks for the pointer -- looks like a database error once I checked in the Editor.

The planes are embarked on the ship, but the capacity is 0 (after the 4/42 class upgrade), so I guess once the ship reaches a port, the game dumps the airgroups off.

Don't forget that Amphibious Float Planes can take off from a regular runway and aren't just limited to coastal hexes or ships. The Walrus might be an amphibian, not sure without looking.
