xwraith -> Guadalcanal scenario question (2/13/2010 1:06:56 AM)

Playing through this scenario and I see that the S. Pacific HQ is 100% prepped for Lunga. I know HQs can help other forces (within its radius) if it preps for a particular location, but it seems to be too far away in New Calendonia.

Should I move the HQ to Guadalcanal?

It depends...

I have not played or loaded this scenario, so I dont know where it is and what range it has / what it covers. If it covers Guadalcanal from where it is, there is little to no reason to move it there until the island is more secure unless you need the support.

If it is outside control range, you should plan on the support and HQ needs you will have, and execute accordingly. Generally speaking, I would not risk a command HQ in an invasion, but I can and do risk corps HQ's. Air support and AA will be pretty important also. I might move it to Rennell Island or suitable nearby base if I need the influence.

Sorry to be cryptic.
