Cooper -> Maps in computer generated campaigns (7/9/2002 12:03:11 AM)
Three of my friends and I have embarked on a long campaign {'39-'45} and are having a fairly good time with it. It would be even more enjoyable if we could select and edit the maps as in the scenario editor. Does anybody know of a way to do that? I already gave Fred Chlanda's editor a shot, no luck. Coop

Cooper, this can be done. While in the Campaign Editor pick the map you want, and then click on "edit". You will then have the map and the ability to edit whatever you want. As an example, I took the good map of "St Nazaire" and edited it to be a huge map (the largest size) and added tons of other terrain featues to it. Good luck, hope this helps.

That doesn't work. The problem is editing a map in the save game mode. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

You can't edit anything that is in use or saved it will cause that save to become totally corrupted. This is why if you notice, that all files within a saved game get saved together including the map data.

Actually, you CAN edit the map, and almost everything else in a campaign file!! The main thing is to do it right as you are done deploying, NOT during gameplay!! I had made a document on Tankheads, and Fabio's site, not sure if they are still there or not. I do it all the time, so yes, it is very possible!! E-mail me if problems persist.
