I upgraded to the 044 version. The four battlesets at the end of the list, South Africa, Carribean Basin, South Atlantic and middle east are empty when I open them. Is this a known issue?

Also, where can I see what the weapons are designed to target? Like what can I target with a Precis missle?

The various weapons will usually tell you what targets are eligible. For example, the Precision Attack Missile aboard the LCS is capable against Surface targets. This means that it can attack land and ship targets.

Other target designations are: Radar, Air, Sea, Sub, etc.

IIRC, the four battlesets named have no pre-generated scenarios for them. There are, however, a variety of user-generated scenarios for them available for download.

Where?

User-created scenarios for those four battlesets can be found at:

Sorry to be so slow, but I don't see instructions for how to import the scenarios.  How do I import them?

You can unzip the scenario files directly into your main HCE directory, or alternatively, perhaps create a 'Scenarios' folder where you can drop downloaded scenario files.

Battlesets and scenarios are matched by their filename suffix, i.e. 'scenario.xxx'

More on that here: Understanding HC/HCE filenames

When you call up the battleset you wish to use, only the scenarios compatible with that battleset will show.

Still having problems.  I assumed that I would have to drop them in the main directory.  I did one 65spy.scs (carribean scenario).  It's in the main directory.  It does'nt show up in the directory, but if I open scenario, I can open it.  But when I do, it immediately says that the time limit has been exceeded and the only option I have is to close.

I think that is the way you are supposed to open it; via the File Open command.

I think that you are using the wrong database with this scenario. If you are using the default HCDB, you might get such an error. The file specifically states:
This uses database HC_65to80_DB_091010 (by "divefreak"), find it in the database downloads (and don't forget to pick up the matching commondb.rsr file in the database section

In this case, its not a matter of the correct database (though it is critically important that you do use the correct one). The scenario author has not set a time limit for his scenario, and that's why you are getting the 'time limit exceeded' message. I will raise this with the author and I expect he will upload a revised version. Thanks for finding this! [:)]

The scenario author has uploaded a revised (fixed) version of the scenario.

You can download it here.
