coxville -> ACM Mine Tending (3/3/2010 9:36:53 AM)

I have noticed that in some ports I have layed over 300 mines and dispanded two ACM's to tend them but numbers are now dropping below the 300. As i thought they tended 150 mines each are there any other conditions I need to meet. Do they need to be fully armed to start with? Do i need to keep putting them in a task force, resupplying them and then disbanding them? Any help appreciciated. Chris

I believe they will decay regardless of how many ACM's you have. The difference is they decay SLOWER.

Great question!

Is there a guide/spreadsheet available as to what ships can be transformed into another type?

ACMs consume supply to tend minefields. No supply, no tending. Also, compare the ACM's mine-type vs that type's availability; I don't know this to be true, but I suspect that if your ACM carries Type-4 mines (for example) and you do not have Type-4 mines available...

Yea,

See what happens when the mine tender has one blow up on the deck.

I've had that happen twice so far.
