SG radar is surface radar and it is set correct in editor. SC radar is surface to air radar.

SC radar was an early surface search set. It was essentially an osciliscope which showed a high point on its screen representing the range when the antenna was pointed at a reflecting target. At least in some mods the operator physically cranked the antenna around on the mast.

The SG was a tremendous improvement which had a display that most people would at least recognize as a "radar scope" (from movies and such if nowhere else). It also had a motorized antenna that rotated through 360 degrees. Unlike the SC it could provide a "God's eye view" of the ranges and relative bearings (bearings relative to own ship rather than true North) of all targets in range. It thus represented a nearly quantum improvement over the SC radar.
