Can a pilot be created that is not assigned to a unit and be active. I tried to create one but there is no "X" in the Active column. As soon as you assign a unit then the "X" appears. I am trying to add the Commonwealth pilots that flew off the Hurricanes from the Indomitable in Java on 27 Jan 1942. Thank you.

I did find out if you create a pilot with no group assigned and the name is NAME(no comma) Init.Init. the pilot is assigned to TRACOM.
