Hi,

Is anyone here hosting a game that I am *not* involved in, and in which there is a war happening between 3 or more belligerents including allies on one side (e.g. France vs allied Austria & Prussia).

If so can you please send me your most recent game host save game file. I need it for testing some of the new battle stuff in 1.08. I'd rather not do that on a game that I'm playing because it will reveal me details about other players' forces.

Del,

I can send you one.  I am host as Russia.  War is FR vs. AS, PR, GB, RS.  Currently at May '05 SP naval.  I have your e-mail from another thread.

Del, just one question:

It is pretty easy to create such a game completely on a single PC, I have done it a few times to test game behavior ahead of a crucial move (for instance, I discovered that the retreat rule is partially bugged and that the game lets GB guard loaned to Russia guard commit).

Doing it in hot seat is really fast and catches basically the same bugs as pbem, true pbem requires a bit more of time but it is absolutely duable. I always wonder why game tster does not seem to do it on a regular base, is there a reason I do not see?

The answer to that is pretty simple -- there is a bug in 1.08.01 (developers beta) that stops you creating a multi player PBEM game from scratch. So I need existing games.

Hi Del
I just put a test game on Mantis for the guard bug, which would likely be good for you to us.

Btw, do the sim phases seem to working for 1.08?
