i will definetly dl this when its a finalized mod, also the Star-Trek idea would be fantastic!

Igard -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (4/6/2010 9:57:50 PM)

Beautiful!! Did you do that second one yourself? It's quite an improvement on the first.

Help a guy out!  What is the color in paint.net for transparancy?  Thought I knew how to do it!

Sorry, I do not use paint.net. I use GIMP.

beserko -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (4/7/2010 7:34:40 PM)

  I just loaded up GIMP.  A bit much at 1st glance but I think I'll get to like this program alot.  I'm still no closer to my goal![image]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/3510935/FIELD%20OF%20GLORY/hmmm.jpg[/image]

Bestor -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (4/7/2010 9:22:14 PM)

Ok the easyest way for you to get transparency on gimp with what you have posted there would be to right click on the image, and on the pop up menu go to image then transparency then add alpha i believe. once you have the reasparent layer under the white use the erase to remove the white,

that should give you a checker board style layer where you have erased, thats the transparency. all i would do is erase as much of the white you can up to the ship and add a thin 1 pixel wide black border round the ship that way you get no left over white trim

beserko -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (4/7/2010 11:53:32 PM)

Many thanks Bestor ! [sm=00000436.gif]

nicodede62 -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (4/8/2010 4:19:48 PM)

10 new music by Dr house (another french [;)])

Igard -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (4/8/2010 6:46:44 PM)

Nice, the colours are spot on too.[;)]

Here's a nice example of one of the painted models..

nicodede62 -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (4/8/2010 7:46:42 PM)

@Igard

Or have you find this picture ?
I see that there is a fine view from above.

Igard -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (4/8/2010 7:54:26 PM)

If you look carefully you'll see its ever so slightly angled. Personally, I prefer the job you did with yours.

This image is from the BFG blue book. It has a couple of rare model views from above with some nice tips for colour schemes.

I could post more if you like. There are colour schemes for eldar, orks, chaos and imperium if a I remember correctly.

nicodede62 -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (4/8/2010 8:03:05 PM)

I am interested by the views from above.
Send me by Pm [;)].

Igard -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (4/8/2010 8:03:14 PM)

I'll get some more pics after the football.[;)]

nicodede62 -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (4/9/2010 9:00:55 AM)

A beautiful Imperial fleet moved in the meanders of the universe [;)].

2guncohen -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (4/11/2010 4:08:52 PM)

Beserko, Great job dude [&o]

Bestor -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (4/25/2010 11:41:28 PM)

Loving the imperial ships, any chance of a ship set any time soon? and also are you going to be doing a seprate set of ships for the astartes?

nicodede62 -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (4/25/2010 11:49:48 PM)

For now, the mod is a little break. Waiting for photos of fan playing the board game, in order to recreate as faithfully possible as the ships of each race.

For the Astarte, why not. In the near future, maybe ... [;)]

d.erlemeyer@gmx.de -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (5/10/2010 4:39:06 PM)

I was all giddy when I first saw the topic.
But now that I see those ship models... *drools*

Which is to say: I'm a huge WH40k nerd and I'm really looking forward to this.

Also looking at the first image:
Very Aggressive, Extremely Aggressive, Very Aggressive,...
Smells like fun [:D]

wormguy -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (5/10/2010 7:17:02 PM)

I have the complete pack done for The Imperium of Man, but they are my uncoloured version (so not like the ones nicodede62 posted) but they still look pretty sweet ingame. Haven't worked on it for a while now so I forget if some of them needed tweaking to fix engines and blinking lights or whether I did that already. [:'(] If anyone wants to try em despite that I could upload the file somewhere.

drillerman -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (5/10/2010 7:31:34 PM)

Hi wormguy,
You could send them to me to try.
davidmack2@sky.com

Alternatively, can you just do an attachment on this forum.

Thanks

Phocian -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (5/10/2010 10:06:07 PM)

I brought Distant Worlds when I had read that you could mod it.
The plan was to make a Battlefleet gothic mod as Im a 40k nut as well.

Great mod Nicodede62 !!

If their is anything that I can help with please let me know. I don't have a huge amount of experience with modding but more than happy to help.

Cheers.

d.erlemeyer@gmx.de -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (5/10/2010 11:10:25 PM)

Hey nicodede62,
I love the music you gathered. But most of those files are .ogg and the customization guide says that the game does only recognise .mp3 files.
Quoting:
Note that the music files must be in MP3 format, no other format files will be played (WMA, MIDI, OGG, etc).
So... a good part of that download is useless, gamewise. [:(]

nicodede62 -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (5/11/2010 7:25:43 AM)

Ah, thank you for intelligence. Before the last patch, everything was in mp3. I look and I'm going to change that [;)].
Thank you for your support [:)].

wormguy -> RE: Battlefleet Gothic (5/11/2010 9:39:07 AM)

There are programs you can use on the internet that can convert those file formats into mp3. I forget which one I used now, but I know they are out there because that's what I did myself.

Here are my Imperium ships for anyone who wants to test run the BETA. As mentioned, I think some ships are still unfinished because I haven't checked in a long time and have forgotten whats done and whats not. Enjoy! [8D]
