Volcano -> Strange Bug (3/29/2010 9:27:47 PM)

Hi, in my current game, just after the Zenox revealed me an episode of the past galactic history (the one about the "project desolation", I experienced some minor bugs : the spacebar doesn't work anymore to pause the game, as well as the mouse wheel for the zoom in and zoom out ; when I make a right-click, I don't have the contextual menu anymore ; the pause also activates itself when I use the select fleet screen and choose "go to fleet" after selecting one of my fleets... But when I save the game, exit to main menu and load my saved game, all functionalities have come back to normal state.

I assure you it is not an april fish, even though it looks like it were [:D]

The bug happenned right now for the second time, just after the second "Zenox Reveal Historical Secret" message about the galactic history. I experienced the same minor bugs as previously.

Thank you for the report, these were added in fairly late so it's not a big surprise we missed a bug with them.

Glad to hear a save/re-load fixes it for now.

Today, in another game, but quite advanced (and in sandbox mode, though I think it may not be important), I have experienced the same minor bugs as previously, but with another message, also sent by the Zenox.

It is the one where one of the Zenox faction tells the player about a secret location. I have received several times this message about the same location (which I haven't explored yet) and always accepted to see the message, but the last time I received it, I decided to refuse to see it because I didn't want to read it one more time, and the bugs I described you previously came back. I have tried to see if the saving/loading of the game set functionnalities back to normal state but again I have experienced the bug "unable to load, out of memory". However I think we may assume that this procedure also works in this case...
