RUsco -> Really Good Game. (7/16/2002 6:42:51 AM)

In support of Matrix/2by3 Games I'll start this thread.

I really am enjoying this game.

The positive points of the game vastly outweigh the negatives. Although it is extreamly difficult to get a "Perfect" game, Uncommon Valor comes about as close as anything out there.

While there a few MINOR bugs and problems, look at the responce given by Matrix/2by3 Games in solving them. While eveyone here has an opinion on how the game should be/what they want it to be, I think the designers have done a great job.

I agree, one of the best wargames to this date. AI sucks, but it was no supprise. Besides, a human player is always more interesting opponent and the pbem games work fine. :)

and it only gets better with each patch, just as Steel Panthers did.

Hi

The best wargame I have ever bought and I am still playing it like crazy since its release in May. Eventhough I have played many games for a lot of years (PACWAR, Steel Panthers etc) never before this intense without loosing interest in the game. Its hard to explain but masterpieces often are:) This is my first purchase with Matrix games and the support for this product has been amazing and the crew at this company.....well you know what I think of them.

Thanks Matrix!

Dan the thank you man:D

Yes, this is a great game.

For me the best part, is that computers have been used to make a very complex game very simple.

In any given action, there may have been a million variables that affected the outcome. In the traditional board game, these would be condensed into 6 factors and you roll a dice.

In later computer games, the variables would have been condensed into about 200 and you roll a virtual dice.

In this game there is probably 100,000 factors included. Virtual dice are no longer needed as there is an attempt to model the most likely outcome based on the units (and the men) involved in any action.

In the history of wargaming this game will be an historic milestone.

I agree ... UV is an incredible gift from Matrix to anyone who has ever been interested in this theatre and type of conflict. I think that many of us who have been arguing over "problems" with the game are mostly trying to reach for that ultimate goal of perfection, just because UV is already soooo darned close, and because we know that Matrix is actually listening (unlike so many other companies).

mariovalleemtl -> I love this game! (7/16/2002 9:56:25 PM)
