wodin -> RE: HPS midway (4/3/2010 8:29:47 PM)

Buy it from NWS...loads cheaper...Ive bought from them and haven't been caught with customs.

LINK

JudgeDredd -> RE: HPS midway (4/3/2010 9:14:53 PM)

I just recently bought it through NWS and didn't get caught by customs.

Besides, the goods have to be over a certain price...I can't remember what that amount is, but it's more than the cost of a computer game I'm sure.

DampSquib -> RE: HPS midway (4/3/2010 9:31:05 PM)

I dont know NWS....never used them but at $29.99 point taken.
Obviously i will not put a link to a company i have never used my self....so please forgive me that. Anyhoo i appreciate the link myself...could come in handy.

junk2drive -> RE: HPS midway (4/3/2010 9:58:54 PM)

Most of us old timers have used NWS and they are a great company. I can't say enough good about them. They are wargamers that started a game store. They support small independent developers and publish their own games.

niknaks -> RE: HPS midway (4/3/2010 10:06:00 PM)

yes ill order from NWS and any thing over 18 pounds customs will have you guys,i imported alot of games and haven,t been caught *****but when u do your time is up hehe

NWS is a tried and true company. Great service and communications.

DampSquib -> RE: HPS midway (4/3/2010 11:06:51 PM)

Thank you all.
I guess me posting i dont know...or i have never heard of...is going too become a theme for me...
Nice too know that they are held in high regards.

Oh & thank you Arckon....i shall give them a try.

Arckon -> RE: HPS midway (4/4/2010 12:50:00 AM)

I am an Aussie and have used NWS on many occasions with zero problems. I normally hold off until I am wanting about 3 titles before ordering to save a little bit more. Have been thinking recently of ordering PZC Sealion, Stalingrad and ACW Antietam.

Dont care if it's second hand.

Warship NWS -> RE: HPS midway (4/4/2010 3:35:01 AM)

Sorry, T-72 is out of print. Keep checking with me however as it has been turned in for store credit at times. Thanks.

DampSquib -> RE: HPS midway (4/4/2010 3:42:41 AM)

You can get at Steam for EUR 4.99

You need to tweak the Steam version to get widescreen, BTW.

DampSquib -> RE: HPS midway (4/4/2010 12:16:28 PM)

Thank you Hartford688.
Will give it a try.

wodin -> RE: HPS midway (4/4/2010 3:23:01 PM)

Ive been playing Steel Fury with all its mods the last few days and Im having great fun aswell. So immersive. The best tank sim Ive played.

V22 Osprey -> RE: HPS midway (4/4/2010 4:54:16 PM)

I love NWS. I've bought atleast 15+ wargames and non-wargames from them with no problems.

np

Let me know if you have any issues on getting widescreen and I'll dig out the edits needed.

I found it OK but some lousy pathfinding. Interesting vehicles so worth EUR 4.99 to me.

As Wodin says, otherwise Steel Fury (WWII and very good) or if you are feeling rich, Steel Beasts Pro PE (modern and excellent)

DampSquib -> RE: HPS midway (4/4/2010 8:57:54 PM)

Thank you once again & you too Wodin.

V22 Osprey..They do seem too be well loved. A lot like Matrix.

Hartford688...i see what you mean by feeling rich..thank's for the offer of the edits.
I found Steel fury & T-72.

wodin -> RE: HPS midway (4/4/2010 9:44:35 PM)

Go to Sim HQ fdorums to get the links to the Steel Fury mods.

DampSquib -> RE: HPS midway (4/5/2010 12:47:46 AM)

Did go to Sim HQ..spent most of the time looking at the flight sticks....
then i looked at the MOD list for Steel Fury.
Tank you very much!!

wodin -> RE: HPS midway (4/5/2010 1:19:41 AM)

You have to install the mods in a certain order using the mod application> Otherwise you miss out on campaigns and scenarios. Here is my order.

Muddy textures
Steel Panthers mod 1.4
Tiger V1.0
Heavier weapons
Unofficial Patch

DampSquib -> RE: HPS midway (4/5/2010 1:33:54 AM)

Yeah close to the eg i looked at on Sim HQ.
That was....Campaign.
Textures.
T-34 crew head movement.
SP mod 1.4
Sound Collection.
Compass mod.
Tiger Mod.
Unoffical patch.

Again Tank's

I can vouch for Chris as a true gentleman. If I send him an e-mail about a question about a game, sometimes he follows it up with a phone-call. [:)]

You won't find his dedication to the hobby from any of the big game outfits. I only buy my games from him.

Keep up the good work Chris.

junk2drive -> RE: HPS midway (4/7/2010 6:40:25 AM)

Nope, they are a retailer for Matrix. And good people trying to survive just like you and me.

Sarge -> RE: HPS midway (4/7/2010 8:09:19 PM)

Ditto,

First class , where else you going to be able to pick up the phone and talk directly to not only the guy selling the item but the one that’s putting it in a box to ship.

Being Matrix along with most serious WG publishers no longer use brick ‘n mortar retailers NWS is not only essential but an asset to them and us as customers .

Again first rate people to deal with…………[;)]
