Cunki -> Fatal Error # (4/3/2010 4:40:57 PM)

Suddenly after years i got this Fatal Error Code #123999777 with following text:

I have an official version bought from Matrixgames!

When do you get this message?  Have you installed new Anti-virus or updated it recently?  Have you changed anything else since you last played?

Cunki -> RE: Fatal Error # (4/5/2010 10:30:25 PM)

Yes, i got an update of Aviras Antivir recently, but i solved the problem with deinstalling and reinstalling WBTS + newest patch 1.040.
Now it runs clean again, but thank you for trying to help me!

Greetings
Cunki

Joel Billings -> good news (4/9/2010 1:50:26 AM)

Glad you were able to just reinstall and have things work again.

Oliver Heindorf -> RE: good news (4/9/2010 6:45:30 PM)

I sometimes have thios message as well on certain matrix titles, not only GGWBTS. Just re-loading the OS and everything is fine here.

Capt Cliff -> RE: Fatal Error # (7/18/2010 3:46:49 PM)

I am getting this error message as well!! But I have the 1.040 patch and nothing, other that my normal Norton update, has been added??? I have added the WBTS.exe to my Norton list but that failed to resolve the problem. I DO NOT WANT TO REINSTALL THIS GAME EACH TIME MY NORTON SOFTWARE PACKAGE UPDATES!!!

Do I have to have the CD in one of my drives for it to check the serial key? I have not had to before this.

Oh, this happens after I select my e-mail game and start moving units. I get about a dozen or so moved then it crashes.

It sounds like the reinstall worked, but you are now having a crash playing a saved e-mail game. Was this a game started before you updated to 1.040? Is the other player also updated to 1.040? What happens when it crashes? Can you repeat it? Could you attach the saved game so we can look at it? And this is on your XP, could you also attach a DxDiag?

Thanks,
Andrew

Well it wasn't a re-install. I installed the game on my new WIN 7 machine and it works fine, so far. The game is still on my WIN XP machine and will crash after I load an e-mail game, after I have moved a number of units about. When it crashes I get the serial key error message and selecting the ok button closes the program. Both players are at 1.040 and the game was started under 1.040. It will crash every time I load the e-mail game. I can send you the saved game but need an e-mail address. Not sure what you mean by the DxDiad?

lparkh -> RE: Fatal Error # (1/28/2012 9:09:38 PM)

I am now getting this error as well with no updating. I will try a reinstall :-( This after a year of play.

Longstreet_slith -> RE: Fatal Error # (2/6/2012 8:22:19 PM)

Has anything been found out about this error?

Chuske -> RE: Fatal Error # (4/15/2012 4:30:30 PM)

I'm getting this error on PBEM gmae with windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit. Tried disabling Anti-Virus, and tried running as admin and trying Win XP compatibility mode.

Odd thing is the game works for awhile (a few weeks) on a fresh install then error occurs again, only solution I know is full reinstall. Can someone at matrix take a look into this? I Can email DXDIAG and save game files.

Thanks

Jon
