gnoccop -> Help! I need a formation cost table (7/16/2002 3:16:22 PM) Someone knows if exist a spreadsheet with the cost of each formation? With the oobeditor you get the cost of each unit but you don't have the cost of the formation (section, platoon, company). I'm thinking on a campaign with 2 players and one gamemaster, but first of all I need to do a balanced Army (in cost point) based on company, so I need to know the cost of each formation to build 2 balanced Army. Someone can help? (now I've build 2 excel file from the oob 70 and 82, but is not exactly what I need... : ( )

Arralen -> (7/22/2002 3:56:04 AM) ..at first you'll have to switch off "Country Training" and "True Troop Cost" (or however it is called in the latest 7.x version). Both would affect the point cost given in the OOB according to the actual training level the troops will have when you buy them. And, sorry to say that, you won't get around making your own spreadsheet to calculate the costs basing on single units (think you found out about the "OOB to excel already ;) ). A.

I've extracted the OOB data with Fred Chlanda OOBDump, and now I'm trying do build an Excel file to do the calculations... and I'm not a programmer and didn' know the database functions : (

Someone can help?[/QUOTE] There is the problem with this, that companies can have choices for support weapons or squad makeup. Depending how you set up the company it can change the point value a good 20-30%. This is even worse with armor companies, change the tank type and you can have a 2 to 1 swing in points. You can get approx point costs, but nailing down fixed costs per formation will only happen if you restrict the players to fixed companies. thanks, John.
