Odin -> Editor: Building a scenario from scratch? (7/17/2002 4:30:26 AM)

How can i build a brand new scenario, i mean with no active ships, bases etc?? Completely empty?

I need a place for testing single CV vs. CV strikes and so on..

Thanks!

Odin,

:( I don't think this can be done. The editor only lets you open an existing scenario. The only thing I can suggest is to open scenario 17 save in another slot and hack out what you don't want/need. I know this sound like alot (I had a lot of fun trying to reorginize the 1400+ pilots) but its the only way I know of. Maybe Rich Dionne can help?

A "Build new scenario" Button would be nice, a clear map, were i can start at once.

Today i planned to build a scenario with Yamato, and 3 US CV , just simply to find out how much stuff it can take...and of course for all the APīs she eats when i played:)

And then i wonder what to do...clearing a map from all active air groups, ships and bases, will take a lot time and some other things:( (time, nerves, etc.)

Would be nice to have a "Scenario" for download...just a clean map!

Odin,

I'm afraid Tanjman is correct. You will need to copy scenario 17 to a new slot above 20 and then modify ship, airgroup, and ground unit locations / delays to make a new scenario. Of course if you want to create simple tests (e.g. CV vs. CV battle), you can set play mode to both human and then create "confrontations" at different locations on the map.

Hope this helps,

Rich

...uarg..to bad:( Thats impossible!!

PLEASE: A free map.

I mean the programmers must have a clear map...that thing the programmers used as they designed the very first scenario.

Please, Please!!:D
