Is there any point in having multiple targeting computers/ecm/repair modules?

Or will the galactapedia specify any component that will not benefit from stacking? I know on some components it does state that stacking does no good. However I also note no stat changes when adding multiple computer components nor yellow text telling me that there is no point in doing such.

thanks for taking time to answer.

The Galactapedia should already state that these don't stack, so it's only worth having more than one for the sake of redundancies (ie. first one gets taken out)

I do believe the only stuff that stacks are anything related to storage (cargo, energy, etc), weapons, shields, armour and engines (except hyperdrive)

Anything else, the highest stat will be chosen (so a repair bot with a damage control will use the damage controls -40% damage reduction, and the repair bots repair ability)

Thanks, what I thought. Was wondering if there was some none visible benefit besides oh crap there is a red shirt near the weapons station you know it's about to go up in flames.

The only benefit is when your ships start taking damage on its components. If you have 2 ecm's then you will still have the bonus when only one is damaged. I think this is the way it works, but not sure.

That would be right
If one component is damaged, but another has the same bonus, that component now gives the bonus
Useful for small cheap components with bonuses, but larger expensive ones... don't bother, you're better off using the money and space on something else
