Thought some folks might wanna peek at my almost open bar in Argasi, Zakynthos, Greece. As you can see it needed alot of work last fall but the licence is finally coming in "they say" so when it does I'll go over and finish upo. Been a real pain but might be alot of fun in the long run. Nice. I lived in Kiffissia 30 years ago. Haven't been back to Greece since, but would like to some time. Athens was interesting and nice, but the smog was incredible. I would go there on the weekends and spend the day there. When I left, I would blow my nose and black soot would come out. Hope the air pollution situation has improved. Other than that a very nice place.

Greece has many beautiful islands. I wish I took more advantages of the travel opportunities I had at the time- I was more interested in bar hopping and chasing girls-things like visiting interesting places with past history was not very high on my list of proirities-the raging testerone days no doubt... Still I did get to see some of the country. The Corinth Canal was an interesting sight. One thing that does stick in my head was a trip up north to Thessaloniki. Met some very friendly people up there who realy liked America and said things like Americans helped us out after World War 2 fighting communists. Another place -can't recall the exact name or location had a convent. We were told to behave and be respectful. Apparently during WW2 the Germans executed all the males in retaliation for partisan attacks. Some of the nuns in the convent were survivors of the event.
