Paco -> Map sizes (11/22/2000 11:20:00 PM)

I'm about to start making a map, but I ran into some problems that the manual wouldn't solve for me. I want a map that is about 80 hexes wide and 100 hexes high. But how do you change the maps proportions? The default map is more wide than tall, and I havent been able to change that. I want my map to be a bit like the Utah beach map (maybe a little more wide), but how do I accomplish that? Did I simply miss out on something? Thanks

You can pick a map in the editor by clicking (in the scenario editor main screen) on "custom" then typing in a number between 1-10. 1-3 are the default map sizes, small, medium, and large. After that, they get longer, as you requested. Actually this is explained in the manual, on page 20, Paco. For smaller maps go to the SPWAW Map Depot, where you can download the size you might want. Or use Fred Chlanda's fine Mapedit program for SPWAW. ------------------ In Arduis Fidelis Wild Bill Wilder Coordinator, Scenario Design Matrix Games

Freds map editor would be best for this. 1. open a blank map in freds map editor. 2. click on options and then inspection mode. 3. In inspection mode at the bottom you will see size. Change this to 80 X 100 and the click retain. 4. save the map and then go back into the game editor to see if its what you want.
