emma388 -> UNLOADING TROOPS ON ENEMY HELD ISLAND (4/9/2010 11:18:21 PM)

font="Times New Roman"][/font]
Please help:
Why do my convoys land only small portions of their troops and supplies on a Jap help island and then always to back to Peal Harbor when most of the troops on board. It doesn't seem to matter if it is a transport or amphibious convoy. They run away eventhough I have told them to remain on station. ALSO this is after several turns of naval bombardment and attack from my huge carrier force attack ground targets. I can't get them to unload all the men. So the Japs just kill off the small force each time.
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?'
Also the bombarding battleships always get heavy damage from the shore batteries. To my knowledge the damage ever taken by batttleships was from the Kamikazies.
How can I get my convoys to stay and unload everything. This did not seem to be a problem with the original War in the Pacific.
By the way I do have "remain on station" turned on.
Please help
