[image]http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/7127/secu03.jpg[/image] Galaxy Profile: As you can see in the images above, our home world is located in the upper right corner of sector C2 with additional mining operations extending into D2. Our main and initial interest is exploring the cluster of systems located to the southwest of us. We have deemed that exploration of the nearby supernova is too risky and will be avoided for the time being. This applies for the surrounding nebulae clouds as well. We will reevaluate our exploration strategy once these initial systems are fully explored. [image]http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/8328/secu04.jpg[/image] System Profile: Composed of 10 planets and 9 moons, the Viare system has some valuable resources, including a planet that can be colonized. 1) The closest planet to our sun is a fairly small continental planet (just 10K bigger than our capital moon), but has no discernible resources. We still plan on colonizing this planet right away. 2) Viare 2 is a volcanic planet containing Aculon (52%) and Emeros Crystal (67). We are already mining a source of Aculon, but have no Emeros Crystal so it could be valuable considering that's the only resource we know of. 3) Viare 3 is a tiny barren rock planet with Steel (92%), but we're already mining plenty of steel at the moment. 4) Viare 4 is a dead gas giant planet containing four moons, including our capital. Unfortunately, there are no resources between the four of these moons, but one of them is an uninhabited desert moon that we plan on colonizing after Viare 1 (since it's smaller). 5) Viare 5 consists of another useless gas giant with a useless ocean moon and a barren rock moon containing Lead (49%). We won't need the lead just yet. 6) Viare 6 contains a ringed gas giant currently being mined of Caslon (67%) and Hydrogen (81%) as well as a volcanic moon being mined of Osalia (85%) and Aculon (72%). 7) Viare 7 is an ice planet containing Tyderios (59%) and Jakanta Ivory (59%), both of which are valuable since we don't have either. 8) Viare 8 is another dead, frozen gas giant. 9) Twin to Viare 8, Viare 9 is also a useless frozen gas giant, but unlike its twin it has an ice moon with traces of Vodkol (24%). Another valuable resource. 10) We come to the edge of our wonderful galaxy at Viare 10, an ice planet containing Tyderios (64%) and Terallion Down (32%). Its tiny, barren rock moon also has Lead (89%). The one other system we have knowledge of is Wayland system. It's 8 planets and 10 moons have some important resources like Silicon, Wiconium, Terallion Down, and Vodkol, but more importantly Wayland 1 is a desert planet containing two of those resources. We hope to colonize this planet as soon as possible as our mining facility already located there tells us it's quite a pleasant place to live. The other mining facility is located on the frozen gas giant of Wayland 5, giving us Argon (35%), Krypton (38%) and Helium (55%). We have also dismissed all of our troops on the planet to make up for any losses we may incur initially. The Securans are a peaceful race anyway and hope to stay that way. Our first three projects there will be colony ships to get the three habitable planets we know of up and running as quickly as possible. Our medium space port will have the job of creating a fleet of frigates to protect us from any hostilities we may encounter. Our construction ships will be assigned to Viare 7 and Viare 10 for the valuable luxury resources located there. To the unknown! 2754.02.14 - Our exploration ship Viare Starway indicates that the nearest star, AQ269, has nothing of interest. Its next target is a main sequence star towards the center of our sector. 2754.04.14 - Our four frigates have finished and will be standing by to react to any threats. We our building another exploration ship to explore the regions to the east of us. 2754.04.22 - Just in time too as we got word of a pirate escort ship attacking our mining platform at Wayland 5. Alpha fleet has been dispatched to the location. 2754.04.24 - Another attack at Wayland 1, thankfully an escort was already there patrolling the planet. Hopefully it'll hold out until help arrives. 2754.05.27 - We're getting attacked in our home system now! These pirates must be nearby. 2754.06.09 - We've gotten word that although the escort around Wayland 1 chased off the pirate escort, the damage it sustained makes it a floating duck until it's fixed. We've split off a part of our fleet to guard it until help arrives. 2754.06.19 - Unfortunately, Viare Starway has turned up another dud of a system. It will be moving out to another main sequence star. [image]http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/8899/secu06.jpg[/image] 2754.06.28 - Our newly commissioned exploration ship, the Sneaky Wayfarer will be heading out to the systems to the northeast of us. We're hoping to find the pirate base and get rid of them quickly as attacks on our own system is unacceptable. We also hope they're not holed up in one of the nebulae clouds nearby. 2754.06.30 - Yet another attack on a mining base in our own system. Our Alpha fleet will be arriving shortly, but it may be too late. 2754.07.13 - An attack on Wayland 5, thankfully we have a fleet standing by to react. 2754.07.15 - There must be at least two or three different pirate factions attacking us as another showed up to attack Wayland 1. The good news is that we just barely saved the mining base at Viare 6. 2754.08.24 - We've decided to invest in energy technology for better shields and drives for our ships after completing the three colony ships. Secura is at 4.6 billion people and still rising. All pirate threats have been since taken care of, though we lost the mining platform at Wayland 5. 2754.10.14 - The pirates known as the Fierce Bandits have contacted us to enter into a protection arrangement, but we decline. [image]http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/362/secu07.jpg[/image] [image]http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/7449/secu08.jpg[/image] 2755.01.03 - A year after our foray into the unknown, we are doing relatively well, having for the most part contained the pirate threat. A slew of energy research stations are being constructed on our populous capital while the newly colonized desert world of Wayland 1 is constructing a small space port. We have also discovered a new habitable continental world in the newly explored Benslurahk system to the west of us as well as ruins on the ice planet of Benslurahk 4 that revealed a galactic message. The Sneaky Wayfarer has also discovered the hideout of the Fierce Bandits, which we hope to dispose of this year. With almost 7 billion on our capital world (a gain of over 4 billion in one year!) our economy is set to explode once it reaches its limit. Our medium space port is brimming with activity too with private enterprises set on exploiting the riches of the vast unknown.
